UBC Allard Law x Aimee Schalles

One of our founders, Aimee Schalles, is highlighted in a profile of Allard School of Law. We’re proud to see Aimee recognized as part of the story behind the company’s launch.

In March 2025, Aimee co-founded Jointly alongside Amanda with a shared mission: to make family law education and relationship agreements more accessible, affordable, and less intimidating for Canadians.

Aimee brought to Jointly a deep understanding of how traditional legal services can feel out of reach for many couples — whether due to cost, stigma, or simply not knowing where to start. Together, she and Amanda set out to build a platform that meets people earlier in the process, offering clear information and practical tools to help couples navigate prenups, cohabitation agreements, and separation planning with confidence.

At its core, Jointly reflects Aimee’s commitment to modernizing how legal services are delivered. By combining legal rigor with user-friendly design, she’s helping reshape the way Canadians think about relationship agreements. At Jointly, we believe prenups and cohabitation agreements aren’t about conflict but about clarity, collaboration, and reducing uncertainty.

We’re proud to see Aimee’s work contributing to a broader conversation about innovation, empathy, and expanding access to justice in Canada.
